CrazyShooter Posted May 21, 2023 Share Posted May 21, 2023 ACE CLAN OFFICE OF REGIMENTS OFFICIAL STATEMENT OR DOCUMENT EST 2019  Director of Regiments  As Director of Regiments, they are responsible for managing all of the regiments within the clan. Once new recruits are promoted to Corporal and above, they will fall under the jurisdiction of regiment command in which they play the most. The duties of the Director of Regiments include evaluating if games would make for a decent regiment within the clan, setup the new regiment and appoint a Commanding Officer and an Executive Officer. They are also responsible for maintaining current regiments and ensure they stay fit for purpose and everyone is active within.  Be aware, any user can apply for this position, regardless of rank. If the application is accepted, the applicant will be promoted up to the minimum rank requirement on appointment to their position.  This position posting can also be used for the Assistant Director of Regiments, with the exception of minimum rank requirement.  Office Central Command Reports To Commander-In-Chief Leadership Role Yes Can Promote Members Without Authorization To Lieutenant Colonel Assistant Director: Lieutenant Colonel Minimum Rank For Position  (Brigadier General) Assistant Director:  (Colonel)   Responsibilities:  Evaluate new and upcoming games and decide if they would be a good potential regiment for Ace to support. If suitable, assign a leading member or a commanding officer to lead the new regiment, and liaise with tech services to get all aspects of the regiment completed (website, forums, discord etc).  Review applications from clan members who wish to open a new regiment. We allow clan members to put forth applications to lead trial regiments. These are usually given a months probation to see how the regiment progresses before being promoted to a full regiment. The Director / Assistant Director is responsible for making these work. If there is conversations in discord about a game, Regiment Command should put forward the opportunity to those members to apply.  Appoint Commanding Officers to official regiments when the position is vacant. We allow all clan members to apply for open positions, and these applications come to Regiment Command. Under normal circumstances when an established regiment has a CO in position, they themselves will appoint their XO of choice.  Train and give guidance to new CO/XO of regiments. They will need to understand what they are expected to do, how to manage their regiment members and what the limits or policies are regarding promoting members. They should also be aware of how to handle absence reports, transfer requests and resignation requests.  Ensure Regiment CO/XO are posting regular promotion / demotion updates on the forum to ensure the rest of the clan is up to date with what is going on. This is semi automated by the website, so should be an easy task.  Authorize gameserver admin access to anyone who you feel fit.  Complete regular clan wide roll calls, or audits to determine who is inactive, and needs to be removed from our rosters.  Promote the Regiment CO/XO on a regular basis if they are doing a good job, abide by the maximum permitted promotion set out above.  Monitor and work close with regiments that are struggling to find new members. Liaise with Public Relations to get some advertisements published and try to boost the activity within new regiments. If the regiment is failing after a month, use your discretion to either extend or disband the regiment.  General day-to-day management of the department. We allow all directors to run their department as they see fit. A director will ensure the department is active, professional and follows the standards setout by the Code of Conduct.
