Director of Public Relations

 

As the Director of Public Relations, you will manage a team of members split into 4 sections listed below. Public Relations is the team that should always be in the public eye, clan members and visitors alike. The main duties of the PR team is to make the clan feel well engaged and not feel boring or stale, as well as generating graphics, and grabbing the attention of potential recruits via social media.

 

• Events Team - Sets up clan wide events for members to engage in. Can have a budget allocated from CC for prizes.
• Graphics Team - Specializes in graphic design to create content for the clan. Advertisement images, logos, videos, banners etc.
• Social Media Team - Has full access to all of the clans social media platforms and posts updates regularly.
• Marketing Team - This team scopes out potential paid advertising locations, and reports costs and details back to the Director. Works hand in hand with social media team to produce the best content to grab in new members.

 

Be aware, any user can apply for this position, regardless of rank. If the application is accepted, the applicant will be promoted up to the minimum rank requirement on appointment to their position.

 

This position posting can also be used for the Assistant Director of Public Relations, with the exception of minimum rank requirement, and that the assistant Director can not authorize any promotions unless granted by the Director.

Responsibilities:

 

• The number one priority is to ensure the clan feels engaged, welcoming and fun. We run a tight military structure at Ace, but we also want members to feel at home with us, have a lot of fun and stick around. Create some concepts for good event nights, some attention grabbing prizes that will be funded from the clan.

 

• Handle applications for the department when people are applying to join. The core structure of the department is split into 4 different sections. As director you can change this if desired, but people tend to fit into different places within PR. Review what the applicant is good at and see where they fit with your team.

 

• Manage and train new members of Public Relations, give them a brief training session of how you want things done, how completed work should be presented and stored, and what your procedures are within the department.

 

• Ensure everyone has all the access they need (eg: dropbox, facebook, twitter etc). 

 

• Overwatch your department members and ensure they are using their privilege to the correct standards. We don't want garbage posts going out on facebook for example. We don't want to spam people when they have zero interest in joining the clan. Generally make sure your PR officers are showing good judgement and acting professional.

 

• Liaise with other departments if they want graphics creating, allocate tasks out to your members. Work with regiment CO/XO's to get in game events running and allocate some prizes for winners.

 

• General day-to-day management of the department. We allow all directors to run their department as they see fit. A director will ensure the department is active, professional and follows the standards setout by the Code of Conduct. As long as the department is functioning well and benefits the clan at all times, the director has free reign.
