Regiment Executive Officer (XO)

 

The position of Regiment Executive Officer is very similar to the Regiment CO position, except they have full authority. You should work together with the CO to make your regiment work, and boost activity as much as possible. Your aim as an XO is to be approachable to every member in your regiment and sort issues that make come your way. Work with Public Relations to create events and boost activity in the regiment.

 

Be aware, any user can apply for this position, regardless of rank. If the application is accepted, the applicant will be promoted up to the minimum rank requirement on appointment to their position.

Responsibilities:

 

• Assist the Commanding Officer with their regular promotion / demotion report. Update users on the website, and post the topic on the forum.

 

• Work with Public Relations to create regular events for your regiment members. This could be an in-game tournament with prizes funded by the clan, or a race to get the highest score or achievements in a set time. The idea here is to make the games fun for everyone as much as possible.

 

• Interact with your members in discord. Do as much as possible to make your discord category active and stand out from the rest.

 

• Keep a track of new members coming into your regiment. Most people will come in as a Corporal straight out of enlisted grade. Our clan is very unique to others, so spend a few minutes chatting to your new member, and ask if they have any questions. Give them some tips on how to find players in discord, or how to use the forum to post screenshots / videos.

 

• Identify any member who has gone above and beyond in your regiment, and discuss with the CO to issue awards of service.

 

• When training officers are appointed to your regiment, the XO is responsible for them. Work to create a regime and get regular training sessions ongoing. If someone is new to the game you are managing, setup a small training session to explain the basics of the game with TOs.

 

• When Special Forces teams are in place in your regiment, the XO will also be responsible for these, to take some stress off the CO. Special forces teams are a group of members who represent the clan in competitions, scrims or esports. They should be professional and allow all other clan members to join in when playing publicly.

 

• Generally, your regiment is under your CO and your command. You can both run it how you want as long as it benefits the clan in some way. We want people to have lots of fun, and engage as much as possible. So keep things running smooth, and ensure everyone follows the Code of Conduct.
